Google Summer of Code 2018 Timeline
- February 12: Organizations announced (Interested students can now begin discussing project ideas with accepted mentor organizations)
- March 12-27, 2018: Student Application Period (Students can register and submit their applications to mentor organizations)
- March 27 - April 23, 2018: Application Review Period (Organizations select student proposals)
- April 23, 2018: Student Projects Announced
- April 23 - May 14, 2018: Community Bonding (Students spend a month learning more about their organization’s community)
- May 14 - August 6, 2018: Coding
- August 6 - August 14, 208: Students Submit Code and Final Evaluations

About Google Summer of Code
Google Summer of Code is a global program focused on introducing students to open source software development. Students work on a 3 month programming project with an open source organization during their break from university.
