OW2 Newsletter - August 2010 - From the OW2 Management Office
Dear OW2 Members, Dear All,
We are ready for the OW2 Open Source Corporate Networking Meeting, in Beijing, September 21, organized with the help of BeiHang University and the China Local Chapter. Meanwhile, over 20 teams are currently busy competing in the 2010 Programming Contest and looking forward to the award ceremony and conference at Ningxia University, September 24-25.
{style:type=div|align=left}Cloud computing will definitely the driving theme behind the 2010 OW2 Annual Conference with keynote speakers such as Ignacio Llorente of OpenNebula and Bret Priatt of OpenStack. Don't forget the call for papers, published here, the deadline is Sept. 10.
{style:type=div|align=left}A special call to all CEOs, sales and marketing managers in our community: please, take some time to evaluate these marketing opportunities: Programming contest sponsoring package, Beijing Open Source Corporate Networking Meeting, and the OW2 Annual Conference. Also, how about sharing an OW2 booth at JavaOne, San Francisco, if you are in North America or at the Open Source World Conference, Malaga, if you are in Europe?
We are about to complete our web site migration to a new version of XWiki and will move the new version into production during the next two weeks. \
Don't be surprised if you experience (minor) disruptions.
Summer reading: {style} {style:type=div|align=left}While OW2 is shifting into summer mode like many companies in the northern hemisphere, we will not be operating at full speed until the latter part of August. Your contacts this summer at OW2 (contact details are here):
