January 2021 Newsletter
Dear OW2 Members, dear All,
All the team at OW2 wish you and your families a very happy, successful, peaceful, and healthy new year.
Despite 2020 being a challenging year for everyone, we succeeded in keeping the conversation going by turning our annual conference into a virtual event in six weeks! We made significant progress in launching the OSS Good Governance initiative and started deploying our Market Readiness Levels project assessment across our code base. We look forward to sharing the results of these efforts with you in 2021!
The central theme of OW2con’21 is "Leveraging the European Open Source Ecosystem." It echoes the publication of the European Commission’s new open source strategy, the Berlin Declaration on Digital Society and Value-Based Digital Government and the French Parliament’s report on open data and open source software. Our open source ecosystem is clearly experiencing a European “moment.”

On another note, I am pleased to announce Huawei has joined OW2 as Corporate member to contribute to the OSS Good Governance initiative and participate in our vibrant community.
A couple of housekeeping notes: the OW2 board and chairperson elections will be held from February 3 to March 18, 2021, and our General Assembly on March 5, 2021.

FusionDirectory is an Identity Management Solution (IAM) enabling to manage delegation to different levels of staff on a daily basis while maintaining confidentiality and data security. FusionDirectory won the 2016 OW2 Best Project Market Award and the 2018 Community Award. More.
