Dear OW2 Members, Dear All,
We have a busy community schedule this month with the meeting of the
technology council on March 15, the meeting of the
board of directors and our
general assembly on March 17, and the
elections
of corporate and individual members representatives tothe board of directors (candidate registration is now open, all details to apply
here).
OW2 is a non-profit open source organization and, unlike mostconventional companies, we thrive on transparency which is why, everyyear, we hold an election. It is not about politics and endlessdiscussions, it is about democracy and community empowerment. This isyour community, it will become what you want it to be: it is both yourright and your duty to participate.
This is also a month of active communication: come and visit us at
Solution Linux, where OW2 will be a majorattraction with our Village on the exhibition floor, ourone-daydedicated conference track and our wine and cheese party. We arelaunching the
2010 OW2 Programming Contest, check our (veryaffordable)
sponsoring packages. The press published our
OW2 CEOs' market perspectives, which we issuedfollowing a tradition brought to us by our friends from the OpenSolutions Alliance.
We have scheduled the
migration of all our applications to our more powerful machineson March 19. Don't plan anything major for that day!
Thank you for your contributions,
Cedric Thomas
