[OW2 Newsletter - November 2021 - From the OW2 Management Office]

Dear OW2 Members, dear All,

This month sees the return of real life events for OW2! We are set to have an impressive presence at Open Source Experience in Paris (OSXP) and SFScon in Bolzano.

OSXP is the new flagship European open source event, which replaces Paris Open Source Summit. Open source vendors and OW2 members Alter Way, BlueMind, Centreon, FactorFX, FusionDirectory, Huawei, Inria, Microsoft, Orange, Worteks and XWiki, and projects Decoder, Fasten and ReachOut will represent OW2 on the exhibition floor. Attendees visiting them will have the chance to participate in a draw and win a prize. Of particular interest at OSXP will be the promotion of three major OW2 endeavours. First, the event will be the platform for the official launch of our Market Readiness Levels open source project assessment method as it has now been applied to the OW2 code base. Second, the Quick App initiative will be presented on the Huawei booth and several participants will be on hand to showcase the MiniApp technology. Lastly, the OW2 OSS Good Governance initiative will unveil its methodology to be discovered on the stands of OW2 and participants Microsoft and Eclipse.

OW2 will also be at SFScon with a dedicated track presenting Market Readiness Levels, Decoder, Fasten, Knowage and the Quick App initiative. Come meet us on the OW2 booth and learn about major release KnowAge 8.

On another note, the ReachOut Testfest organized by OW2 and the ReachOut project has been extended until the end of November with 11 on-going beta-testing campaigns and your chance to win a prize!

Jeka: release of version 0.9.15 includes API polishing, bug fix when dealing with generated source code, JaCoCo and Sonar plugins externalization and more. More.
XWiki: version 13.9 brings, as an experimental feature, real-time collaborative editing (for both wiki and WYSIWYG editors)! Maintenance releases for version 12 were also published. More.
Knowage: published a new major release: version 8! It brings many significant new features and general improvements. Among the most important you will find: the widget gallery, the function catalog and the resource manager. More.
Rocket.Chat: released a bunch of maintenance versions for version 4.0 and also released version 4.1.0 with many improvements. More.
Sympa: a new beta version, 6.2.67b.1, has been released. It brings a new option to remove emails from list using sympa.pl command line interface and fixed memory consumption while archive download. More.
Waarp: version 0.15.4 of Waarp manager and version 0.4.4 of Waarp Gateway include important fixes. Upgrade is strongly recommended. More.

Project of the month

Sat4J : Sat4j is a library aiming at providing a simple and efficient open source library of SAT solvers in Java. More.
