Dear OW2 Members, dear All,
This October is the month of the China Open Source Week (COSW). The event (October 11-17), the first of its kind, is spearheaded by OW2. COSW brings together a whole host of open source events and meetings in the same week to offer attendees optimum efficiency and benefits.
The ambition of the Open Source Week is to extend the reach of open source beyond the academic sphere and build awareness for open source as a business model, and as a credible and mutually beneficial strategy to develop, use and distribute software, not just a means for (legally) downloading code.
We are proud to announce that SugarCRM, the global leader in open source Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, has is now a member of OW2. This is a testimonial to OW2's worlwide recognition. As Clint Oram, co-founder and CTO of SugarCRM says: “By joining the OW2 Consortium, we can more easily reach the global community of open source developers.”
And do not forget OW2con next month (November 23-24). Save the date!
Thank you for your on-going support; I look forward to seeing many of you again in Beijing!
Cedric Thomas
