[OW2 Newsletter - April 2024 - From the OW2 Management Office] Dear OW2 Members, dear All, OW2 has been very busy these days, organizing a new but very promising local French FOSS event that attracted more than 200 people: AlpOSS - replays are available on the home page. Some of our members were present, as sponsors and speakers (like BlueMind, Linagora and Worteks) or co-organizers (thanks Belledonne Communications!). Although the event was supposed "local", people came from Paris, Lyon, Marseilles, etc. - including representatives from the City of Paris, SNCF and the Adullact FOSS association. So now we have a responsibility: be as successful next year! And the next event is a virtual one: Open Source webinar by OW2, featuring Open Food Facts (a famous digital common, and NGI Search success story) and LemonLDAP::NG / FusionIAM as OW2 projects. April 11, 4 PM CEST: save the date, free registration is now open - and there will be webinars every 3 months! But of course, the most essential for us is OW2Con'24: June 11/12, Paris (Orange Gardens innovation campus in Châtillon) - free attendance, the program is now published but sponsorship opportunities are still available is you wish to support it and promote your brand or project. Registrations should open very soon, stay tuned! Also, if you have a FOSS project or digital common that requires funding for technical dev, do not forget the NGI EU initiatives OW2 is involved in: apply for a grant, NGI Zero Commons has an open call running, and the next (last) one for NGI Search starts in June. And last but not least, the OW2 General Assembly - open to all members including individuals - takes place on April 10, 5:30 PM CEST: all material and instructions are published on our web site, so feel free to join. Busy times, I said... Wow! Thanking you so much for your ongoing support, Pierre-Yves Gibello PS: Project leaders: Please use your project dashboard to publish your updates. Your news will appear on our Project Marketplace home page and in this newsletter.
